Get rid of Google​

  • if you have a gmail or google apps account, migrate to privacy focussed provider like protonmail. They make forwarding and migration easy.

  • never use chrome browser, use brave instead (chrome based but with tracking blockers and privacy built-in)

  • if you want to use any google products like youtube etc, sandbox it in its own seperate browser. Other privacy browsers that you can use to sandbox your google activity are mullvad and vivaldi.

    • dont do any other activities in this browser

  • stop using google maps on mobile, alternatives are good.

Social media​

Facebook/Instagram are almost as bad as Google when it comes to privacy violations. Apply the same sandboxing technique (not in same one you use Google)

IOT devices​

Get rid of amazon alexa, or any similar device.

Get rid of ring or blink cameras.

Migrate to FOSS apps when possible​

  • drop dropbox, use nextcloud or other similar
